Some things to Remember!
Clothing

  • Bring a variety of oufits, we may not have time to use them all, but you never know.
  • Keep away from small patterns such as pokadots and stripes, they are very distracting. Large soft patterns do work though.
  • Remember to iron your clothes before you come. Time spent ironing here is less time for portrait taking.
  • Keep clothing styles fun but simple, you don't want to date yourself too much in your portrait.

Makeup

  • Girls wear soft evening makeup for your portraits, and wear your hair the way you normally do.
  • For both boys and girls a little cover up over acne blemishes really helps us our.

Shaving

  • Gentlemen shave just before coming, a little earlier if you tend to get razor burn.

Glasses

  • If you wear glasses stop by your optometrist before coming and either borrow a set up empty frames, or get them to remove the lenses from your frames. For those of you who need your glasses to see I know this is uncomfortable but really does help in the photography. If you can't have them removed don't panic we can certainly work around the glare.

Hats

  • Hats make excellent props but avoid wearing them before your session to avoid the dreaded hat hair problem. Guys! If you tend to wear your ball cap 24/7 please make an effort to not wear it the day of your photography. We will take some photographs with you in your cap but would like to be able to start out without hat head if possible.

Props

  • If you play the guitar, the sax, are involved in any team sports or the cheerleading squad, bring your stuff with you and we will be happy to incorporate them into your portrait session. Have some fun here bring in your sunglasses and anything else that will give you a cool look and introduce some attitude into your photography.

Have Fun!

  • Finally we want you to have fun and not stress out during your photography session. If this means bring a friend or two then do so. In fact you can even do your sessions at the same time. By alternating, when one is changing the other is being photographed, and of course we will just have to photograph the two of you together. If you are not bringing a friend in a family member, your mother sister, or brother can also help to ease any tension and make your session more fun.

We hope this little sheet helps you out, and we look forward to photographing you in the near future.
