1: Mother In waiting.

If you have that SPECIAL GLOW, Are you reading books on names, designing a nursery, attending showers, then chances are you are expecting a child. During this time you are feeling excited, somewhat scared, and especially loved and cared for by everyone.

What a beautiful time for a Mother in Waiting portrait. Whether this is your first child, second, or even fifth, this is a wonderful portrait to have. We will take a soft romantic portrait of you alone, with your special someone, and with any other additional children you may have. These portraits are absolutely wonderful portraits that you and your future child will cherish forever. Our children, now 7 and 10 still like to look at their baby albums, and the framed Mother In Waiting portraits displayed in their rooms.

Portraits are usually taken any time after you have reached the 7-month mark. However don't delay in calling, life is busy and it is easy to put it off until it is too late. Even if you are only a few months pregnant it is a good idea to come in and look through our samples. Remember there is no charge to look.

While usually taken with Black and White film we do also photograph these in colour. These portraits can be taken at our studio or even in your home.

2. Newborn Portraits

What would you rather have, an absolutely breath taking portrait of your little miracle only a couple of weeks old, or the hospital standby where you choose which colour wall paper you are going to lay your baby on, slide him/her under the camera and push the button. Newborn Portraits should be as special as your little miracle of life is. We photograph your baby by itself, cradled in your hands, even with the two of you lovingly gazing down at your little miracle.

Now we know that you are tired, probably physically sore, and drained emotionally. Obviously the last thing you want to think about is coming into the studio to have some portraits taken. However these portraits are as special and as important as your little miracle of life is. More importantly it will only take a couple of your precious hours. Twenty to sixty minutes for the consultation (FREE), twenty to sixty minutes for the session, and twenty to sixty minutes to order the photographs. All in all a very small time commitment to create something you and your child will have forever.

Each of our girls has a framed photograph of them in their mommy's tummy, a newborn photograph of them alone, and one of them being nursed by mom. These photographs are special to them and they enjoy looking at them and asking us to tell them stories of when they were babies. Brooke especially likes the one where she pulled over an open can of paint and then proceeded to sit in the puddle happily splashing away.

Newborn Portraits should be taken around the two-week-old mark. This gives you a little recuperating time, and allows their complexion to clear. Again like Mother In Waiting portraits, Newborn Portraits are suited best to black and white photography, although we have taken some stunning portraits in colour. The choice as always is yours. Newborn Portraits can be displayed in many ways around your house and we can even create birth announcements using their portrait.

3. The "Baby's First Year" Wall Panel.

In the upcoming year your baby will grow from being a tiny helpless infant to a chubby toddler running all around your house. These changes in your baby's growth are absolutely amazing to watch, and happen so fast that it is easy to overlook having professional portraits taken to record your babys life. This is where we can help.

All packages include:

• 4 photography sessions
• 1 bonus family session and 8x10 unit

What's the Catch?

I am sure you are wondering what the catch is. It is simply this. We want to introduce you to Kevanna Fine Photography and turn you into a happy client who will return year after year to have your family photographed with us.

What's Included?

Session 1
At 3 months old your baby can hold her head up and smiles when you gaze into their eyes. The photographs taken are simple and we try to capture their beautiful expressions at this time. We have even taken their portraits while they are sleeping when they conk out during the session. Lets face it at this age we work to their schedule, not ours.

Session 2
At 6 months your baby is sitting up, and we can get a little more creative. We still like to keep the portraits simple, but can start adding props to the photo session. It is during this session we like to do our baby nude portraits, and capture all those wonderful little rolls of baby fat.

Session 3
At 9 months chances children are either free standing or standing holding on to furniture. This is where things start to really get exciting. We never know what is going to happen. We have had children take their first steps during this session.

Session 4
It's finally here, your little one's first birthday. Chances are running is now the mode of getting around. At Kevanna we like to simply let your one year old play, and see what we can capture. This session is probably both the most fun and challenging for us to photograph.

Your baby will grow so much during the first year. Their looks, smiles and personality are different at each three-month stage of growth. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to capture all these wonderful differences.

How it Works.

• When you first call in we will book you a no charge consultation session. There are no fees and no obligation to purchase the special. We simply wish to show you our photography and discuss how you would like panel to look like. We will discuss clothing colours, whether you would like a Black & White or colour panel, and any other concerns you may have. If you decide to take the special we will book your first portrait session.
• After each photography session we will book you a viewing appointment to come into the studio to view your photographs over our 36Ó television. We like to book the viewing appointment right away so we can pick out the photograph for your panel.
• At the end of the viewing appointment we will book your next photography session. Christine, our office manager will give you a call one week prior to the session to remind you, and confirm the date and time. If you need to change the appointment time and date we will happily make the changes.
• At your final viewing appointment we will layout your panel, and choose the plaque colour.
• Finally you get to come in and pick up your very own contemporary wall plaque of beautiful baby.

How Do I Pay for my Panel?
When you come in for your first session you can pay for the entire session, or you can pay it in four easy installments, at each session. We accept personal cheques, cash, Visa, & MasterCard.

Bonus. If you prepay it we will give you a cd slide show at the end of the program.

4. Christening Portraits

Your little miracle of life is already a gift from heaven and when you meet in church with family and friends you confirm that gift with those you love.

There are many approaches to Christening photography:

• Bring your little miracle into the studio ahead of time and create some beautiful portraits to give out as gifts at the actual christening. We can even create Christening cards with your little miracle's name and christening date printed right on the card.
• Invite us to come to your church to photograph you after the service with your family, godparents, and Minister or Priest.
• Come to the studio after the service to photograph you after the service with your family, godparents.

5. Angels From Heaven

Our children are special to us all and we often think of them as our little angels. We have acquired a variety of different size angel wings, along with other harps and horns (musical) to photograph your little angel. These are always soft romantic portraits and look especially cute when your little angel has only a soft smile, or pensive look. These portraits are incredibly adorable, and Anna has already won an award in professional print competition with them.

Our Angel series of portraiture is ideal for all young ages, even under the age of one. In fact we can even include you in the portrait along with your little angels.

6. The Happy 1st Birthday Special

The Happy Birthday Special is an absolutely hilarious photography session that is quarantined to have you both crying and in stitches at the same time.

Think of all the possibilities!
Your One Year Old
A Birthday Cake
Then put the two together.

You simply cannot create these kinds of memories at home. At your actual birthday party you will put the cake in front of your little boy or girl, take one or two photographs of there reaction, then pull the cake away to serve to all your family and friends at the party.

We set aside an hour for this photography session and let your baby go to town on the cake. Thomas actually put his foot in the cake at one point. You do not even have to worry about the clean up; we clean up the mess and even provide you with a bathtub for the wash up after.

All you have to provide is a one year old, a birthday cake, due to food allegories we can not provide a cake, and a clean diaper to go home in. The rest is up to us.

There are 6 different packages and three different size wall displays to choose from.

7. Making Faces

Remember all the fun you had as a child making faces in the mirror or at family and friends?

Remember your mother's reaction as she told you "Your face will get stuck like that!"

For once in their life it will be OK for them to act up,

• Stick their thumbs in their ears,
• Make googly eyes.
• Pretend to be angry,
• And of course stick out their tongues.

TIPS for making your children's portraits better. Let us know at the consultation if your children have any favorite toys, of if you would like to include a family heirloom in the portrait. Personal items add to the feeling of the portrait and will truly be appreciated in the years to come. (You know the wish I had a photo of Johnny with his favorite bear feeling) If your child is shy, be patient, we book off an entire hour for your portrait session, so we have lots of time to warm up to each other. And please, do not try to push your child for one more smile, when they are done they ARE done. We can always book a second session at no additional cost if necessary. DO NOT practice your smiles before the session, or tell them they have to smile for the photographer. This only produce's grins and makes our job harder. Better if you let us simply play and joke around with your children for those natural moments. All your ideas are welcome and do contribute to the success of the session. Give us your ideas and feelings and together we will come up with that special portrait.
